Ai Policy

AI Usage and Transparency

I am not the biggest fan of AI but just like any other technological advancement such as the internet and cell phones AI is here to stay. I have major concerns about AI in creative spaces and the environmental impact its having but there are certain areas of my work that require me to use it and in some cases where I have no choice but to use it (such as when you Google something and the first thing that pops up is the AI overview - blarg!) I am intentional about using AI and try to use it only when necessary and it just makes sense, that way my use is limited and I am limiting own my environmental impact.

In an effort to be as transparent as possible here are the areas where I will not use AI and the areas in which I do. If I do use it, I use Claude as I feel Anthropic is doing the most to put safeguards in place and move toward more environmentally friendly ways of using AI. If the list below changes I will update it here whenever possible. I will NEVER use AI for design, photography, logos, etc. as I feel that takes away the part of my work I love the most which is creativity!

I refuse to use AI in:

  • Website Design

  • Logo Design

  • Imagery (if I suspect an image is AI I will not use it.)

I DO use AI in:

  • Research

  • Content/Copy Ideas and Refinement

  • SEO

  • Business Strategy Ideas + Blogging (for myself in my own business)
